Gender and the City Mayoral Debate

Gender and the City Debate

Toronto’s municipal election voting day is on October 27, 2014. As this is the perfect opportunity to ask candidates what they will do to reduce gender-based violence and increase equity, safety and justice for all women and youth, we’re supporting a Gender and the City Mayoral Debate featuring leading mayoral candidates.

Date: Thursday October 9, 7:00 to 9:00 PM
Location: YWCA Toronto’s Elm Centre (87 Elm Street) – wheelchair accessible space
Moderated by: Writer and reporter Denise Balkissoon
Register: SurveyMonkey registration (American Sign Language, note-taking and child-minding available)

This debate will also be televised on Rogers Cable 10/63 in Toronto/Scarborough and streamed live online on CityTV’s website. For more information about how you can vote, visit the Torontoist’s website.
