Description: There are recent changes to the law with the goal of providing better safety and access to the family home for women and children living on First Nations reserves. Both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal women have new property rights on reserve when their relationship breaks down. This webinar is part of the Family Law Education for Women (FLEW) campaign and explains how the new law works.
Due to overwhelming demand and limited budget(s), space is limited.
Hosted by: Tamar Witelson, Legal Director of METRAC, and Emily Hill, Senior Lawyer of Aboriginal Legal Services Toronto.
