METRAC’s publications have been widely distributed in Toronto and across the country; thousands of our informative resources are distributed annually.

Over the years, METRAC has published and distributed newsletters, bulletins, and reports of activities to keep ourselves accountable to the public.

METRAC worked with several violence prevention organizations in Ontario to update, reproduce, and distribute more than 20 violence prevention materials in multiple languages. As a result, we have posted hundreds of pages of free materials on our website that cover a range of topics, including sexual assault, intimate partner abuse, stalking, sexual harassment, healthy relationships, and violence prevention parenting tips.

In 2001, we redesigned our website, www.metrac.org. It is updated regularly and carries important information and links for the public.

In 2001, METRAC developed a report on cyberstalking, including safety tips for women.

In collaboration with students at the Faculty of Information Studies at the University of Toronto, we developed internet tools for evaluating online resources in 2001.

Working with young women and men in 2001, METRAC established Respect in Action or ReAct, (formerly known as the Young Women’s Anti-Violence Speakers Bureau) a unique youth peer program to address violence against women and youth.

METRAC conducted focus groups with youth and parents in at-risk Toronto neighbourhoods to discover their needs and ideas to make schools safer environments.

In 2007, we launched a violence prevention online educational video game for children and youth ages 8 to 14, RePlay: Finding Zoe. It was created with the direct input of 250 diverse children from across Ontario.
